God is honestly my best friend and I love our relationship. I have never had a friend with whom I was more honest than I am with God today. He already knows my heart. He’s already with me so he sees the situation. He’s also in control of everything, so he knows what is best for me. There was a period I had to go through in my wilderness season where I had to learn to turn to him before calling and depending on others. Have you ever had those moments where you are trying to get something done in a certain time frame and the further you get into it, the more problems pop up? I have had plenty of these moments where I’m working on something on the verge of tears out of duration and I don’t know what to do. This one time during my wilderness season, I was in this situation. I didn’t have friends I could call or anyone to consult with, so I had to start crying to God. Saying things like ” You told me to do this but it’s not working out, I don’t understand what’s going on. Why is this happening? Where is the answer? I’m trying but I need you. Lord, I need help! Where are you? I’m sorry I’m crying but it’s becoming a lot for me. Abba…I don’t know what to do anymore. Please God, please.” What he does next is always different. The most important thing is being honest and bringing it to him. Sometimes he may tell me to take a break or go to sleep. He told me to go to bed in this particular situation because it was getting late. Upon waking up the next day I had complete peace over the situation with a clear understanding of what I needed to do and why the situation wasn’t working out. If you aren’t honest with yourself when it comes to your situation and what role you play vs God, things can get out of control. This is why it's so important, to be honest when you say your prayers and repentance. If you won’t be honest with God in these two moments, why continue the conversation.. Nowadays, because of society and social media, we tend to compare ourselves to others and downplay what we do in our life. Saying or thinking things along the lines of It’s not that bad I don’t think this counts as sinning At least I’m not doing that Or "But they are doing that and it’s worse so it doesn’t matter that I do or say this." If you aren’t honest with your actions, thoughts, and how your life aligns with what God has said this can cause a strain in your relationship Things to remember. When you go to God ask him to reveal your heart and any hidden ways. Ask him to unharden your heart if you feel yourself comparing your sins to other sins. Seek the Lord and ask him for guidance. “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:26-27 KJV When you read the Bible, you HAVE TO ask for understanding before you begin. You have to ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and give you understanding as well as his knowledge as you read. This also comes with pausing and looking up words yourself. Hence the phrase “Bible study.” Depending on what chapter of the Bible you are in, it will change the way you look up the word. One thing we can not do is read the Bible in our understanding of English today. It will not make sense and on top of that, Jesus talks in parables, so you really have to let him guide your studies. He wants you to know his word but also seek him. You can’t do one without the other. When it comes to the English language vs other languages around the world, our language as far as a description becomes more simplified. I think this is why we often have to ask for clarification. What you say and what you mean can be two different things, when the same word has multiple meanings. For example the word “Love.” Depending on the language there is usually more than one word depending on how it is used for a certain person, item, or expression. In English, we have one word. This is all in modern-day translations. This is why if you speak another language or talk to someone who’s trying to explain something to you in their language. You will hear: “Umm, it doesn’t really translate, but it kind of means … When studying your Bible, you will also come across this. Especially since the Bible is translated from primarily two other languages. When you are reading the Old Testament you will be translating the Bible from Hebrew origin. While the New Testament is of Greek origin. For example, Hate in the Old Testament would be “sane” which is Hebrew. Hate in the New Testament is Miseó which is Greek. Same Bible but it has different word meanings because of the writer’s native tongue. When we look at Luke chapter 14, verse 26 about being a disciple. We see here Jesus is talking about hating our loved ones. “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters — yes, and even his own life — he cannot be My disciple. This is the reason I had to dive in on what hate means in Greek. While looking and studying the Lord led me to Matthew chapter 6 verse 24 : “No one can be a slave of two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot be slaves of God and of money.” Matthew 6:24 HCSB Reading that helped a little but the Lord reminded me of Matthew 10 verse 32: “Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven. Don’t assume that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. The person who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; the person who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And whoever doesn’t take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Anyone finding his life will lose it, and anyone losing his life because of Me will find it.” Matthew 10:32-39 HCSB “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. The Bible is written on pages and not scrolls like the Torah because it is made to be flipped and referenced back and forth. Morocco is such a beautiful country! From the Sahara Desert to the Atlas mountains, you can experience deserts, seaside villages, and mountains. Just like every country has its ups and downs, Morocco is no different. The thing in this post is NOT to change your mind about traveling to Morocco. I am just letting you know what to be aware of in Morocco, to make your travels more enjoyable. I believe it’s better to know what to expect than to be caught off guard by the things that may appear throughout your travels. Everything that I talk about I have been through personally and have been given advice from locals. I have talked about my experience with locals who know the rules of Morocco and they have given me great advice for future encounters in different scenarios. Some of these tips are similar to (Tips for the Medina) but that post has more information directed to Morocco as a whole. As a black female traveling in Morocco alone at times, I have felt safe and comfortable traveling the country. Speaking English in this country does create some difficulties if you don’t know basic French, or Darija (Moroccan Arabic.) Download Google Maps. This is extremely helpful in big cities. I like to download the maps before I arrive in the city so I know how to get to my destination without having to stop and ask for directions. This can be an issue because if you ask for help or direction they may want to follow you and request that you pay them for their service in assisting you. Some people can get aggressive if you refuse to pay. Google translate Having google translate if you aren’t able to read French or Darija is very helpful. Almost all the menus will be in French. A few are in French and Darija. Medinas are the only place I have to see the menu in multiple languages including English. If you have Google translate you can use your phone to translate signs. Personally, I can read and understand French on menus. The hardest thing for me is going to places like the train station and trying to find my way. On my trip to Casa Voyageur, I needed to find my way to purchase the ticket. Translate came in handy because there was 3 different kind of lines. All with different signs and a computer a lot of people were going to and getting a slip. Everything was only in French or Darija. Moroccan bathrooms! Just in case I always Carry some kind of toilet paper/ tissue with me. It’s not always a guarantee that they have toilet paper in there. Also, don’t be surprised if you walk into a restroom and there’s no toilet—just a hole in the floor, a bucket, and a water spout. Traveling throughout the country for months I had to get comfortable with this. Sometimes for hours, there will be no real restrooms. Don't get caught in a situation where there's no toilet and no toilet paper Fresh juices (smoothies) All of the fresh juice throughout the country. Especially in the Medina! Within almost every city you’ll be able to find some fresh juice, especially orange juice or Lemon (French for orange.) The consistency of the juice is not always like the juice you may find at a juice bar in The States. If it’s a mix of fruits especially if it includes avocado it will be like a smoothie texture just not as cold. Things to consider with the juices. If you are picking different fruits you have to choose Milk or orange juice. Avocado and orange or the most popular. I personally Love Avocado and orange with occasionally adding in mango Mint tea More than likely you will have and be offered mint tea often! I was on a hike one time and we met a man in the mountain/ fields who tried to get us to come to have tea with him. When you are shopping especially in touristy areas they may offer you tea. A lot of time the shop is just friendly, but you do want to be aware that some shops may be a little more aggressive once you take the tea to buy something. The Sugar! If you are someone watching sugar. Moroccan put it in everything. They may add it to your juice if you get fresh squeezed. Remember to ask for it without sugar. The Mint tea as well. They had a whole block for a small little teapot. When you order the tea it will usually already come with sugar. On the other hand, if you have a sweet tooth there are numerous places where you can purchase pastries, sweets, and nougats! Bargain! Bargain! Bargain! This rule applies all over Morocco! Even locals bargain at their local stores Almost every place you ask will bring down the price a little. This rule applies all over Morocco! Even locals bargain at their local shops and weekly at the local markets in each village. This is one thing that can get tiresome after having a few discussions and making a few purchases. Directions when walking Don’t listen if they are telling you that road is closed or you are going the wrong way (Most of the time). There have been multiple times when solo traveling and staying in the Medina the men would tell me I’m going the wrong way or there was nothing down that road. When I know my hotel or destination is just a few more steps down the way. I don’t know why they do this, maybe for the reason above. To give you directions and get money. Taxis This is where sometimes the advice can be tricky. To keep traveling in the taxi, get a shared taxi. It is very common and will be one of the main taxis you see. In all of the taxis I have been in, I have only seen a meter in one when traveling in Casablanca. People normally advise you to watch the meter but if there isn’t one available that becomes, well not an option. If you are able to get a taxi with a meter remember to watch it when getting in. This is very important in a shared taxi because there will be more than one going. There are red and blue taxis in the cities. If you are going on the Ferry or coming off, traveling through Tangier, or flying in stop by and enjoy a meal at Restaurant Vandalcia in Tangier, Morocco. You will enjoy yourself and your time. I was hesitant about eating here because I have been in Morocco so long that getting a tagine or other traditional means weren't exciting for me at this time. It has become my weekly almost daily life in Morocco for the last few months. After leaving the ferry from Spain and exploring the city of Tanger, I needed to eat after a long day of travel and crazy experiences. I had a fantastic (late) lunch at Restaurant Vandalucia! Leaving Europe I wasn’t looking forward to eating more Moroccan food. Especially after the amazing pizza I had in Tarifa, Spain. Despite how I was feeling about traditional Moroccan cuisine and longing for something different. I was now entering Restaurant Vandalicia. This place definitely changed my option, on how I thought I felt about returning to Moroccan cuisine. The Food! I ordered the Chicken tagine. This is a typical dish you can find everywhere in Morocco. I am pretty sure I have had chicken tagine more times in the last few months than I can count. This Tagine had so much flavor and quickly changed my mind about diving into Moroccan food again. They had a great variety of sauces that were all good. The bread was soft and fresh. The tagine was good. I even used my bread to clean up every piece. I ended the meal as I would usually in Morocco, with fruit, and it was more than enough! I even had some Moroccan tea and they gave me a piece of pastry. Like most Moroccan pastries, the pastry was good and had an interesting unique flavor. I loved it and it paired so well with the tea. After enjoying everything, I left full, fed, and happy! When you get a tagine at a restaurant, often they have started cooking it before you arrive. There will either be a lot of oil or water added to the tagline to keep it from burning while cooking slowly, until you order i. To me, and others this can ruin and water down the flavor. At that point, you are eating just because you have to and aren’t really enjoying the meal. This was not the case here! This dish was not full of oil nor was it watered down. It was fresh and hot and the flavor was all there. Again, I will say the flavor was all there! This is a big deal when traveling through Morocco a lot of the meals I had were “good”… “okay”… “I liked it.” It’s very hard to find a meal I love and thoroughly enjoyed. Vanalucia is a place I would go to the next day and order more food. I am actually writing this the next day and debating If I should go back for lunch before leaving the city. When traveling abroad at least once your trip you may have to purchase something. This post will help you understand your money and what the cashier may be asking you. This can be a little tricky when you may not speak the same language. Sometimes it can be as easy as just handing them some money and hoping they give you the right amount. At times the cash register may not have a screen you can see the price on. Or you may even be at a place where they don’t give you a receipt so you can clearly see what you must pay. When traveling and dealing with money and prices I like to have an understanding of what I need to listen for. Even if it’s a very simple understanding. I want to be able to kind of tell what number they are telling me. Especially when traveling in a taxi, where the drivers may think I’m tipping them if I give them too much money. "Like this seems like a fair amount of money to receive" They may request the exact change depending on where you are paying too. For example, when I was taking a train to Tangier from Casablanca the woman asked if I had a different amount. (She spoke French, so it was a lot of posting and hand gestures. After, looking in my wallet again I saw that I did have the exact change. She replied with a smile because it’s easier for everyone at times. Here are some of the numbers in French to help you understand what your server or the cashier may be telling you. I also included some phrases that will go along with situations relating to making purchases. Your total is … “Votre total est…” It costs … “Ça coute…” How much is this? … Combien ça coûte? Is this on sale?… Est-ce en vente? Do you have a smaller/larger size? … “Avez-vous une taille plus petite / plus grande?” Is this the only one? … “Est-ce le seul” If your brain only has the capacity to hold on to very simple conversations or you just need a word to get a point across, this is for you. Smaller? … Plus petit? Bigger? … Plus gros? More? … Plus? Price? … Prix? If a price is written like “80,00” it would be 80 of whatever the money is. Places in Europe as well as Morocco and other countries will use a comma in place of a decimal for prices. I have been traveling with people that I had to go find and direct them to their hotel because they weren't aware of the area and didn't download the map. 2. Favorite, Star, or pin your locations! When traveling you want to be able to easily find where you are going and where you came from. This is even more important if you don’t have wifi. This feature will still work, even if your wifi isn’t. This feature has come in handy so often! Particularly when traveling to a new location and I get there by bus. At times I can't get a good wifi connection to look up new things with directions so if I already have it saved and clearly marked it's much easier to get to. I also don't like to keep my phone out so it is easier to see my current location (blue dot) vs where Im going. 3. Don’t listen if they are telling you that the road is closed or you are going the wrong way. There have been multiple times when solo traveling and staying in the Medina the men would tell me I’m going the wrong way or there was nothing down that road. When I know my hotel or destination is just a few more steps down the way. I don’t know why they do this, maybe for the reason above. To give you directions and get money. 4. Food in the Square in the day and night be careful getting food in the square especially at night because they will try to scam you. I had this happen to me and others but I’m not falling for it. They showed us a menu and I don’t speak so there is no confusion. I showed the man what I wanted and he repeated back our order to us. They brought us bread and sauce for it. When they brought our food they had a small plate of vegetables with it. In the end, They tried to add on an additional 220dh or more. The one guy who took our order was mad and said don’t pay. I agreed and proceeded to walk away. Another guy came and tried to tell me what I was going to do and what happened. I told him, “Hey, do you speak English? This is how it’s going to go. I pointed at an item on your menu the guy repeated that item to me this is what I’m paying.” They continue to try to argue and while attempting to walk away he finally agreed because they know they are wrong. Another thing they may do is show you a menu with cheaper prices and when you pay charge you more and change the menu to one with more expensive prices. When you order food it is very common for the food to come with bread, sauce, and other things. This should be at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE The meal they tried to scam me on 5. If you are planning on staying in the Medina. Please go while it’s still day. It’s so much easier! The Medinas look way different at night. If you are traveling through looking for your hotel you will be more likely to run into locals that will try to help you and request money upon your arrival. 6. Bargain! Bargain! Bargain! Don’t always stop at the first place you see along the edge with an item you want. Trust me you will see it multiple times and maybe even in a better place. In the Media, the people in the square and the taxis around the area will try to scam you. Just because you are a tourist they will try and raise the prices way higher than they should be and convince you it’s normal when it’s not 7. Taxis around the medina When looking for or waiting for a taxi outside the Medina there will usually be a guy directing you and the taxis. Sometimes they will usually ask you. “How much would you like to pay?” I normally say a price low, especially if I’m traveling with people. I ALWAYS play hardball, I tell them no, I don’t want to pay 50dh per person to go this far. If you are staying at your hotel ask them and another place how much it usually costs from your location to the destination you are trying to go. I always recommend asking for second place because your hotel may offer a service to call someone for you. Sometimes in this case I feel like this is overpriced as well. 8. Taxi number Every taxi has a number on the door. This is something you may want to pay attention to when getting in. If something goes wrong, you can remember this number and tell the cops your issue. This also is great if you lose or leave an item in the taxi. The cop or person at the taxi yard can contact that particular taxi for you to retrieve your belongings. 9. The “lovely” henna woman Please be aware of the henna woman. They are ruthless. They will try a number of things to grab your hand and start. They may spill something and try to fix it, try a sample. This one personal experience the woman I was traveling with did not like henna but she loved to talk. Started talking and now there are two henna women around her and one started drawing on her. I tell them we have to go and are running late for an event. And grab the woman. The other lady starts hitting me telling me it’s bad luck if she doesn’t finish. The other lady starts hitting my hand so she can finish. A lot of them will also try to “write your name in Arabic” to begin. Be careful and keep your hands close when walking by these women 10. Fresh juices There’s fresh juice in the big square where the guys will call you over to try a sample and convince you to get juice. Often if you ask for a small one they will try to pretend they didn’t hear you and make a big one. This usually costs 20dh but if you walk a few steps away from the square there’s better juice! It was better tasking and half the price for the same size. On the stand, I saw 6dh and that’s for the mix. But if you want just one flavor it will cost you 10dh.

Whether you plan a trip to Morocco in two weeks or two years, it is not uncommon to run into someone with whom you may not be able to express yourself or you may not understand what they are telling you. Here you will find common words and phrases you will encounter in Morocco. Traveling and trying to understand the language in Morocco can be quite an adventure. Languages in Morocco can be a little complex. Especially, if you are someone like me who appreciates languages and wants to learn. Darija- Moroccan Arabic has so many influences, from French, Spanish, Arabic, and Berber (Tamazight). Not only do Moroccans speak Darija, they learn and are fluent in French. If they are Amazigh, then they will also speak Tamazight. (P.S the Tamazight changes depending on the region they are from.) Some Moroccans do speak English, especially in tourist areas. As you travel through the country you will hear the language and dialects change as the scenery changes. Here are a few phrases you will often hear that may come in handy when going through the different cities and villages in Morocco. As we get ready for your trip... and these words, go ahead and grab some water and give it a gargle. Hello/ Hi- "As-Salaam Alaykum" Sounds like -"As-Sa-laam Al-y-kum" When someone greets you, you will hear "As-Salaam Alaykum" or "Bonjour" (because of the french influence) When someone tells you "As-Salaam Alaykum" you respond: "Walaykum As-Salaam" Sounds like -"Wa-lay-kum As-Salaam" How are you?/ Fine - "Labas" Sounds like -"La-bas" When someone asks how you are they will ask "Labas?" it translates to fine. "Labas" in the question form is asking" Are you fine?" Where you will respond "Labas" telling them you are fine. Good morning “Sabah al Kheyr” Sounds like -"Sa-bah al Khe-yr" This means Good morning and you will respond with “Sabah al kheyr” Let's go "Yellah" Sounds like -"Yell-lah" It Means Let’s go. If someone is showing you a place or you are leaving somewhere you may hear your guide or driver say "Yellah" If they are yelling "Yellah, Yellah, Yellah" and clapping- this means hurry! Thank you "Shokran" Sounds like -" Shu-Kran" Welcome “Marhaba” Sounds like -"Mar-ha-ba" When someone said it fast Sounds like -"Ma-ha-ba" means Welcome/ or it can mean you are welcome depending on the use. You’ll hear it as a greeting. “Marhaba!” / “Welcome!” or as a response to “Shokran” like “you’re welcome” in English Okay "Wakha" Sounds like -"Wa-(the k makes that throat gurgle noise) -ha" or (Wah-ha) This means "okay". If someone is showing you a place or you are leaving somewhere you may hear your guide or driver say "Yellah" you can respond "Wakha" Yes/ No "Wah"- yes "La" (Lla)- No Please "Afak" Sounds like -"Af-ak" meaning, please Goodbye "Beslama" Sounds like -"Bes-Lam-ma" Well, that is all for now loves. My Grandmother used to always say: "When You’re Dead, you're Done.” What she meant by that I don’t necessarily know. I do know that no man knows the time, nor hour they will be done with Life. If you were to stand in front of God tomorrow could you tell him you are done? Would you be able to say that everything that was placed in you, you used? That every assignment you walked in, you did with your faith held high over fear. Could you stand there and say when the enemy had Fear and Anxiety loaded, weighing down on you it didn’t stop you? That you remember who created you and wasn’t going to let fear stop you from reaching and pouring out what God has placed in you. Did you let God guide you on how to use your Spiritual Gifts? Can you say God was able to use you as a vessel and you walked blindly through some chapters by faith and God alone? In the storms did you have Peace, even when the waves were high? Were you so confident in God that you surrounded and leaned on him instead of your own understanding? Knowing that this too shall pass! Knowing that whatever was lost or whatever you are losing can’t make it you turn the page to the next chapter. Did you step up to the plate and let the Great Am I show you the way? When You’re Dead you’re Done. Being “Done” means something had to start at some point. So let me ask you, did you start? Did you start the business, start researching, go get that Degree, start that Youtube Channel, or Pack? What are you waiting for? I know you can feel it. That Fire that’s stirring up inside of you. That desire feels like it’s across the street and the more you move your legs the more you keep walking down the same old road. That fire seems to be burning so low you aren’t even sure if your desire is even yours anymore. In your day-to-day life, you feel like there’s more. You may be stressed and filled with dissatisfaction at work or in life. You are staying at your job or doing things because of money. Your Passion and Purpose are no longer driving the boat. You feel lost at sea. The water is deep, it’s cloudy and God feels far. You were so focused for so long, you forgot to look up. You forgot to notice and to check in and ask God. “Is this gift that came from God a few chapters ago, is it still the blessing thing that God has for you this season? (I have another post about "Not all Good things come from God”) You have a desire for a New Thing. . At some point you have to break this cycle. You need to realize just because ya momma and dem did it doesn’t mean you have to. Matthew 10 verse 35-37 says “For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” Matthew 10:35-37 KJV Walking in purpose and in alignment with what God has placed in you may feel like turning your back on traditions or family at times. Your family may defiantly feel like you are. We must remember that each and every person has their own purpose. Our family nor friends can define what that is for us. They can help point it out for us sometimes. If you have a natural talent for something that you never notice until someone pointed it out. Now, what was your normal, you are using it in your own business. Your Purpose may change every season or stay the same for 20+ years. One thing that is important Is being able to heal and break cycles that are stopping you and holding you in fear. You must know how to listen to your gut feeling and know which inner voice to listen to. Then, you must be able to Walk in purpose. We are all connected. I need you to discover your full potential and walk in your purpose. Your dreams and goals in life are much bigger than yours. I need you to reach your dreams! I pray that whomever this message is for, it reaches you and stirs up what needs to be changed and that the Holy Spirit may bring peace to you. Being a Child of God is already hard. I promise not to sugarcoat reality for you out of love. I’m here to keep it real with you, make you think and question the things around you. The goal is that you seek the Lord in everything! Something that completely baffles my mind… As Christians, we are constantly saying and singing about worthiness. These often can reflect how we don’t feel worthy. Yes, we are born sinners. We have all sinned and Christ forgives us if we repent and bring our sins to him. Jesus Christ loves us and die for our sins not because we deserved it but because he loves us. When you help and provide for your kids, when you do something for your spouse, a neighbor, a loved one, or a friend do you do it because they are worthy of it? Or do you do these acts of kindness because of the way you love them? Let’s look at this from a different point of view for a moment. Let’s add the word worthiness to our day-to-day life. Take a moment and think about a little task. Walking up kissing your spouse, was he worthy of that? I mean he didn’t take the trash out last night, even though I did the dishes. Is my dog worthy of these new dog toys even though he ate my new rug? What about the promotion? Your raise? Think about these things with all of those minor details Honestly, when you use the word like that it seems a little mundane. ( Mundane has 2-3 definitions.) The definition I am referring to is “of this earthy world rather than a heavenly or spiritual one” The Latin word Mundas, meaning “world” originally referred to things on earth. Earthly things were supposed to be uninteresting compared with the delights of heaven. Which is where the modern-day definition of the word comes from. I feel like we do that a lot with Christ and the words we use for him vs the words we use here on earth to describe ourselves. We say you are worthy Lord, but then we may say I am not worthy of your grace. We say you are Holy Lord but we don’t use the word unholy to describe ourselves. When talking about and honoring God I don’t think the best way to describe his children whom he made by hand and made and their likeness (Genesis 1:26) to have Dominion over everything he created on the earth. If we are to be like him in our lives I don’t think using opposite words to describe ourselves is what he had in mind. So if you don’t know yet, I love to get technical and break things ALL THE WAY DOWN! I like to understand the true meaning of what I'm saying. Especially when speaking English. The rules and the meaning are borrowed from so many different places that the meaning can be lost in translation. Let’s dive into the word Unworthy. The definition- is not deserving effort, attention, or respect. Having little value or merit Lacking in excellence or value If the power of life and death lies in our tongue (Proverbs 18:21) and Christ called us his and to be different from the world. Why then should we say when we are not worthy when we should know the power that he placed in us? This has nothing to do with ego. We must continue to humble ourselves before the Lord and remember being humble and unworthy are two different things. Reading and understanding this word is why you can’t be singing and vibing to everybody’s songs. Christian or not, have discernment. If everything you sang was a prayer how would your life look? If we are supposed to pray without ceasing, do you think what you say and sing affects your life? If your tongue holds the power of life and death, what reality are you creating for yourself? As a friend, I want you to win in life! I want you to prosper! I want you to walk in authority. This is why I will tell you things that may ruffle some feathers but it will get you thinking and questioning and taking everything back to God. If God forgives us we are forgiven but we also have to remember we have to forgive ourselves. We often forget the second part and constantly will ask God to forgive something he has forgiven because we remembered it. Even though God has not changed. Just because you remembered it again does not change who God is and what he has already done. In those situations we need two remember his greatness and praise him not remember our weakness and ask him… “but do you really forgive me? Do you remember when I did X, Y, & Z.” If this is something you have a hard time with, then you need to bring this before our Lord in prayer. I wrote a blog here that came to me while in my study time with God. It was a message about worthiness as well that the Lord downloaded into me. If this relates to you I would like to pray with you. Father, I call on your mighty name. I pray that whoever needed to read/ hear this message that it reaches and blesses them. Whoever struggles with feelings of being unworthy in their day-to-day life or with you Lord. I pray that those feelings are broken in your mighty name Jesus. I pray that you may open their eyes and soften their heart so they may be able to see who they are in your eyes and be able to feel the love, peace, and acceptance from you. Let them be to forgive others as well as themselves and not hold on to the hurt. Restore your sons and daughter. We are your children Lord. You said let us make male and female in our likeness and that is what you did. Give us discernment and the wisdom to use it so our tongue may not speak against your word and our feet will walk in alignment with your will. Let every ill, negative, or any words that have been spoken that goes against your will in our life be broken in your mighty name Jesus. So let's talk about "Health, Wealth, Woman." What it is and why you should know about it. What is Health, Wealth, Woman? Great, question! It's a Community built to Empower, Inspire and Educate women on a global level. All while giving women a place to connect, network, and learn from one another. This is accomplished through our memberships, trips, conferences, podcast, and other community resources. No matter where we are in life, there will always be someone ahead of us and behind us. I want us to be able to learn and grow from our failed mistakes together as women. this way those coming up the steps behind us don't trip and fall on the same blockages we had. It's better to help keep our fellow queens’ crowns straight than to watch them become crooked on our same downfalls. This community was created out of love so women can have a place to go when they need love and support. Whether or not you are an entrepreneur or mom there are things that happen in life where you may have needed help, didn't know where to look or how to find resources, feeling stuck, or just really need a Girl's trip with a bunch of amazing women, good food and drinks somewhere pretty in the World. No matter which one of these you relate to we are here for all of that! No matter where we are in life, there will always be someone ahead of us and behind us. I want. us to be able to learn and grow from our failed mistakes together as women. What is included? We Host Annual Conferences throughout the world. So ladies be passport ready! 2023 Location for our conference is in Morocco in April. There is also an Annual Girl's trip (Sometimes two a year.) Members will have the option to vote and help pick the locations each year. There will be different free resources available. This may include workshops, zoom calls, and other resources. With topics that may include but will not be limited to Women's Health, Holistic practice, Cycles, Sex, Being a mom, Being or becoming an entrepreneur, taxes, and more! Members will also know and be able to help pick podcast guests and questions for them through our Community. We will send out weekly/ Bi-weekly emails. They will include affirmations, business, and personal tips as well as featured member highlights. We offer two memberships you can check out here Why is woman in the singular? There are two reasons I have woman in the singular form. The first reason, I am a Woman, who talks about Health & Wealth. So when forming this and my podcast name I was references me and not a group. The second reason and the most important, I want you to question everything. Too many times we are told something, especially as women that we have to deal with. Because women are complex yet simplistic beings, so it is hard to understand our complex and amazing bodies. We are the only ones that can create life, yet our health, wealth, finances, and so many things seem to be lacking compared to our male counterparts. I want you to see the words Health and Wealth as a woman and understand that as an individual can define what this looks like and what it means to you. You as an individual can speak your worth and know you are deserving! Health and Wealth aren't always defined the way our society defines them. Every person, place, and region represents these words differently. I also believe traveling and experiencing different cultures, people, and corners of the world is important. It gives us a bigger view and understanding of ourselves. What’s acceptable and normal in your area may not be the same 100 or even 100,000 miles away. The resources may be different and so by joining together in a global community I really believe we can help each other grow as individuals and flourish in life. So I want to start by telling this story I received from God when journaling one day. So there is this man who is a very wealthy man like the top 1% of the 1% wealthy. He has everything he needs and is well taken care of. He even has a company that is doing very well on an international level. This man also has a lot of children. Some of his children have a great relationship with him. They speak to their father daily and spend a lot of intentional time with him and he loves this more than anything. They have a close bond, he knows what is happening in their lives, and all their situations and he helps provide for them as well as guide them in life with advice because he has seen and done a lot in his lifetime and is a very wise man. Not all of his kids have the same relationship though. Some of his children show their respects to their father by visiting some of his companies. These kids will go inside his company (pretty much his second home) and acknowledge their father’s great works as a creator of everything they see & show their respects and leave but never take the full initiative to make time to actually communicate with their father or spend one on one time with him. The only time the children do this is when they really need something now and pick up the phone. So I have a quick question. If you’re like the kids in the first group they had a great relationship with your father took his advice spoke to him often and cherished his time and love. How would you feel when he gave you something out of love because he’s a father who loves his children? I’m guessing you wouldn’t feel bad because of the relationship you have. Knowing he’s always there, you discuss everything with him so he knows your situation and what is going on so when you ask, he blesses you with what you need and a little more because you are his child and he loves you. How would you feel if you were like the second group of kids? That claim they were his children when they went to his company to show their love and support for what he has done but they didn’t really spend the time to connect and have a real intimate relationship with their father. Wouldn’t you feel kind of weird in a way? Like dang, I told him last time I needed help I would come around more and work on our relationship but I was too busy with work, and the kids, and I never made time. Now there’s a little guilt and maybe even shame when it comes to asking him for help. You constantly need things or advice that he could easily provide for you but you constantly don’t make intentional time for him. Now, what if this father was God? His company were churches around the world and his children or us? Which child do you feel like? The one who has a good relationship on their own? The one who went to church but didn’t have a personal relationship with God outside of the church? There are plenty of different types of children of God out there but these urges to groups were dropped in my spirit to talk about. Can you taste the difference in water? Do you realize that water isn't the same and they taste different? Let's start with some fun facts! We often confuse thirstiness with hunger. The skin is the largest organ. One of the major functions of your skin is protection. Your skin will not properly hydrate itself until your body is fully hydrated Did you know each day your body expels 1/2 - 1liter a day? Have you ever felt hungry, taken a few bites of something, and all of a sudden felt satisfied? When you begin eating your body turns off the sensation of being hungry. This is a common mix-up. At least 37% of us will get this sign confused. Sometimes we don’t quite understand what our bodies are trying to communicate to us. You could’ve just been dehydrated and your body was trying to let you know. We tend to get some of our body signals confused because we were never taught how to listen to ourselves. It's not like our body is like Seymour and it talks to us verbally. (Sorry my younger generation may not get the reference) Here's the question that I know is in the back of everyone's mind. In general, we can only survive 3 days without water. If you never drink water how are you surviving? How is your body getting the water you need? Did you just cheat death?! So the good news is you are still alive because you are reading this blog, Congrats!! The truth is our body receives water through the foods we eat, as well as our fluid intake, including water. So eating foods high in water such as cucumbers, berries, oranges, and watermelon can help keep your body hydrated. Here are a few food options and their percentage of water. Broths and soups 92% Lettuce 96% Cauliflower 92% Tomatoes 94% Zucchini 94% Cabbage 92% Grapefruit 88% Plain yogurt 88% Coconut water 95% full of electrolytes as well. ✨Tip: Frozen fruit and veggies are just as nutritious as their fresh counterparts. If fresh fruit and vegetables tend to go bad with you, try getting frozen so you can use them when you are ready! **Check your ingredients for additional additives** We need eight 8oz glasses of water per day. This statement is not a fact but strongly suggested. There is no evidence that every single person needs eight 8oz glasses of water daily. As far as water intake, each individual is unique. Your daily water intake depends on your activities, needs, age, gender, weight, circumstances, and climate. Signs of dehydration in adults and kids. Darker-than-usual urine Not urinating despite steadily drinking water Muscle cramps Bad breath Fatigue or Sleepiness Fever or chills Craving sweets Dry mouth/skin Fast heartbeat Irritability Confusion Drowsiness Headaches ✨Tip: don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink. When you feel thirsty your body is already slightly dehydrated ✨Flavor your water, Make it fun! No one is forcing you to drink it, make it unique for you. Add herbs, fruits even a splash of fruit juice so you are able to enjoy it. Depending on the taste of the water, I personally add a pinch of salt. The other ingredients changes based on what my body is telling me and what I have on hand. Some days I add organic lemon juice, cucumbers, or something else with a little life (something fresh like cucumbers) to feed my water. I do this because water naturally has different minerals and the majority of those minerals are filtered out before they come to us. I will do another post on the importance of eating a variety of fresh food and what it does to your body on a cellular level. So remember you are an amazing flower blooming in this world.
