Reality vs Suppose to be.

Updated: Mar 23, 2023

Storytime!

Have you ever had a moment where your supposed-to-be story didn't quite end up being your reality?

Let me give you an example. I was planning on being in Colombia for an extended weekend. This trip was a big deal and I was planning on going with a group of lovely women who I have the pleasure of callings, my friends/sisters. At the beginning of planning this trip, there were so many signs and things bringing this trip together. Preparing for this trip taught us all so many lessons.

Fast forward to the morning of the trip.

My bags are packed, I'm sitting on my bed with a negative covid test and still no passport.

I ran into soooo many issues with my passport and my official birth certificate wasn't official enough. After getting this fixed and paying to expedite my passport, It finally came on time!

The post office man walked up the stairs and knocked on my door. I'm in a robe about to get in the shower so I throw a dress on and run to the door.

By the time I get to the door, he has already left with MY PASSPORT!!! I try running up the street, but my neighbors said he had already left. I start calling post offices, looking for a tracking number, and nothing! He didn't leave it in my mailbox until a few days later. He could have easily done that the first day!

So now I'm sitting on my bed, trying to process what to do next. Since I canceled my appointments and blocked out my calendar to be in Colombia for a week. This is when God taught me this lesson.

The reality you have in mind is your suppose to be. What you are living right now is your reality. The two are separated by your thoughts and beliefs and how flexible the two can be.

This was a very powerful realization because sometimes we don't believe we deserve good things, we think we are unlucky, and we self-sabotage. This is a very common reality for most people.

This is why I created a course to help you un-program blocks in your life that you could be setting up yourself. Not only blocks but dreaming small.

We tend to underestimate what our future holds by what our past was.

We are no longer in the past so this does not tie into what we are supposed to be.

When making anything with yeast, it has to go through this process called "proofing." During this process, whatever you are making, bread, croissant, or pastries they have a chance to reach their full size or potential. We do not define it by this phrase. If they are able to rise to the occasion, then they get baked.

Trauma, test, and trials are the yeast to our bread, which is life. When God is adding more yeast to your life (the bread), we will have to rise to the occasion or remain flat(question why me.) After we rise to the occasion of life we have to continue to go through, even more, now the baking process. This is a totally different level of testing in our life. We know that we've been through a lot of hard things but we were able to rise to the occasion. Now that we have all of this knowledge under our belt and hopefully our faith is stronger. We have upgraded the pressure we are now going through. Our mindset should be at a point where we understand that this is all coming together for our greater good.

This mindset does not make anything easier! Things will still be hard you just know you are equipped with the proper tools to make it through whatever you face.

So what’s your supposed to be?

What position or job were you supposed to have by now? Which house was supposed to be yours? Were you supposed to be a mother by now? Where are you supposed to be married by now? Were you supposed to be traveling and seeing the world by now?

What have you seen, that you are now placing yourself in this box? A box of expectations from the world that were never expected for your life.

Do you even know how to listen to yourself to understand your calling? Do you know your purpose? Do you know how to differentiate the different voices in your head? Do you understand how to listen to your intuition? Or is your volume

turned down so low you’re not even sure what your true voice is if you even have one?

If you want to be able to unlock these tools and reach your full potential.
